Holiday Highlight

SACAGAWEA DAY

Let’s talk about Sacagawea! She was born in May 1788 in Idaho and had quite an adventurous life. At just 12 years old, she was kidnapped by the Hidatsa tribe but later married fur trader Toussaint Charbonneau.

Sacagawea joined the Lewis and Clark expedition, where her knowledge and support were invaluable. As the only woman on the journey, she helped the team navigate and find resources. Sadly, she passed away in December 1812 at the age of 24. What an inspiring story!
