  Good Grief Day

Good Grief Day celebrates the life and work of Charles M. Schulz, born on November 26, 1922, in Minneapolis. Schulz’s passion for art and cartoons blossomed in his youth, leading to his first published cartoon at 15 in “Ripley’s Believe it or Not!” After serving in the military, he developed his career, debuting his weekly series “Li’l Folks” in 1947. This caught the attention of United Features Syndicate, leading to the creation of “Peanuts” on October 2, 1950. The series became the longest-running comic strip in history until Schulz’s death in 2000, known for its humor and social commentary. Iconic characters like Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Lucy van Pelt have brought joy to millions, with timeless specials like “A Charlie Brown Christmas” remaining popular today.
