International Strange Music Day
International
Strange Music Day was created by Patrick Grant in New York City to encourage
people to explore new types of music. It has since become a global phenomenon
with concerts, a record label, and support from summer schools. The day
celebrates unusual music and aims to inspire creativity. In 2012, a Performance
Soiree in NYC kicked off the celebrations, and the event has since spread
across the country, with the University of London also joining the fun with
events, contests, and performances.
